Ahhh Weight Loss, a topic that effects many. If you are at all like me, the word DIET makes you cringe. Well think about it, the first three letters of diet is DIE! And when I go on a diet, that is exactly how I felt!  I had tried just about every known diet out there. And some of them I did good on, only to fall off the wagon and gain it all back. It is and was a life long struggle for me. I have never been 'thin' or even an ideal weight. I have always been classified as obese.  After doing a lot of research, I had finally made the decision that surgery was my best option. In October of 2015 I went to the seminar to learn more about this option. The doctor explained to me how dieting just doesn't work for everyone. (As if I didn't know this!), but then he went further into explaining why. Now I don't recall all the details of that seminar, but I do recall them saying how a part of our stomach produces some sort of hormone that effects our ability to lose w

I did it! After my post yesterday, I realized I am way over due for my Locks 4 love haircut! So I called Look After Hair Co . made my appointment and went in to have my hair cut off for a good cause! Locks for Love takes donated hair and makes wigs for underprivileged children who have medical conditions causing them hair loss. It is a great cause and its just hair! It grows back. And with hair like mine, thick, curly and with like this super growing ability its something I know I can do to help out where I can't financially make a donation. (And the haircut is free if you donate it!) Here is my before and after picture of my hair.... Here is the back of my new haircut I sent a picture to my husband at work to show him. His reaction was priceless. I have never had my hair this short before. The lady who cut my hair did an excellent job. (Notice I had my eyebrows waxed too while I was there! 10 Things you probably don't know about me...  I don't really have a favorite color. I like a lot of different colors and I choose a certain color based on what I am needing it for, not because it is my favorite.  I didn't start drinking coffee until September of 2016... now I can't seem to live without it! (Sipping some hazelnut coffee right now as I try to think of these 10 things!) My hair really is naturally red.... and curly! (I have it straightened in the picture above). The part you might not know is that about every 18 months I go and get it cut off and donate my hair to locks 4 love. I have been doing this for about 10 years now. (Its about time for me to go do it again) My celebrity crush is Chris Hemsworth as Thor.... (drool) I wanted to be a lawyer when I was a kid.... I still think about it but I'm too old...
