Locks of Love

I did it! After my post yesterday, I realized I am way over due for my Locks 4 love haircut! So I called Look After Hair Co. made my appointment and went in to have my hair cut off for a good cause!

Locks for Love takes donated hair and makes wigs for underprivileged children who have medical conditions causing them hair loss. It is a great cause and its just hair! It grows back. And with hair like mine, thick, curly and with like this super growing ability its something I know I can do to help out where I can't financially make a donation. (And the haircut is free if you donate it!)

I sent a picture to my husband at work to show him. His reaction was priceless. I have never had my hair this short before. The lady who cut my hair did an excellent job. (Notice I had my eyebrows waxed too while I was there! They are still a bit red from the waxing)

I am looking forward to playing around with my new style, seeing how it will look after I straighten it. (That is my natural curl by the way... no perms here!) I will post some more photos after I have had some time to play around and see what I can achieve with my new short hair.

One thing I say for sure, it sure feels lighter and cooler especially on these high 90's days!
